2024 NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity and Truck schedules
The 2023 NASCAR season ended with ben rhodes, Cole Custer And Ryan Blaney Celebrating championships. It’s time to focus on where and when all three of NASCAR’s national series will compete in 2024.
The Cup season begins with the Busch Light Clash exhibition race at the LA Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, February 4. There will be one week of rest and then all three national series will be held at Daytona on February 16-18.
There will be a two-week break during the 2024 Olympics, which will be held from July 26 to August 11. The final four races of the Cup regular season will be held after the break.
The cup season finals will be held on Sunday, November 10.
Here are the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity and Track schedules:
Cup chain
There are multiple changes to the 2024 Cup schedule. The biggest is the addition of Iowa. The 0.875-mile track will host its first Cup event on June 16. This race will kick off the NBC Sports portion of the broadcast schedule.
Next season will mark the return of the oval for Indianapolis after three seasons on the road. This will be the last race before the Olympic break.
Darlington will lose the playoffs as they move into the end of the regular season. Darlington will be replaced by Atlanta, which is starting in the round of 16. Watkins Glen will also advance to the first round of the playoffs.
Xfinity Series
The Xfinity season includes two big changes. Bristol will be the regular-season finalist for the first time since 2021. Kansas will take the opening race to the postseason.
The other big change is that Talladega will host a second race after hosting just one in 2023. Talladega’s second date will replace Texas in the opening round of the playoffs.
The second round of the playoffs will remain the same this season. Las Vegas, Homestead and Martinsville will host the races that decide the fourth championship.
Truck series
The Truck season begins at Daytona on Friday, February 16. Like Cup and Xfinity, the season continues the following week in Atlanta.
The first round of the playoffs will see a change. IRP will move to the regular season after two seasons in the playoffs. Milwaukee will host the first playoff race. Bristol and Kansas will make up the rest of the first round.
The second round of qualifying also has a change. Homestead is no longer an elimination race in the eighth round. It is now the second race of the tour. The Truck Series will conclude the quarterfinals in Martinsville for the first time since 2021.
