Sixteen people were injured in 11 other vehicle accidents that occurred between Thursday, Nov. 2, and Monday, Nov. 13, according to accident reports published by MSHP.

The first accident occurred on Thursday, November 2 at 4:59 PM on MO 265, one and a half miles east of Marionville. According to the accident report, Tammy Dodson, 61, of Park Hills, Missouri, was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger westbound while Leslie Hill, 78, of Marionville was driving a 2006 Ford F-150 eastbound, when one of the vehicles crossed in the middle of the road and collided head-on with the other vehicle. The report was not clear about the car that crossed the middle of the road.

Dodson, who was not wearing a safety device, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Hill, who was wearing a safety device, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Aurora.

Dodson’s car sustained complete damage while Hill’s car sustained major damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the accident.

In the second accident, three people were seriously injured on Friday, November 3, on Interstate 76, two miles west of Exeter. According to the accident report, Darren S. Green, 34, of Exeter, was driving a 2004 Mazda Tribute west at 3:50 p.m. when he attempted to pass another vehicle and then swerved back into the lane due to an oncoming vehicle. The vehicle then veered off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned. Green was transported to Mercy Hospital by ambulance. One of his passengers, Christopher D.
