A cyclist has died after a crash with a Rumpke truck in Hamilton, according to police. It happened around 6 a.m. along Dixie Highway at Bishop Street. According to the police, the accident occurred between a Rambike residential truck and a man on a bicycle. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Rumpke’s driver called 911 to report what happened. “I think someone was crossing the street. He was dressed all in black, and I was turning off Route 4, and I hit him with the garbage truck,” the driver said. The Butler County START (Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team) and Response Team has been activated to assist in the investigation. The Butler County Coroner also responded to the scene.
