Today’s first look review includes the newly launched MG Motors car in Pakistan MG4EV. The MG4 EV comes in two variants: the base, Excite, and the top, Essence. The car is a C-segment SUV. This review includes the Excite variant.

price

The launch price of this Excite variant is rupee. 110 million, While the top variant, Essence, is priced at Rs. 130 million.

the outside

The MG4 EV has a very stylish exterior design. Notable aesthetics include a headlamp fog lamp with DRLs, radar, front camera and a stylish curve on the hood. The modern side profile complemented by futuristic lava-style taillights adds to the car’s design profile. Furthermore, the MG4 EV’s height is lower than other crossovers on the market, adding a lowered stance and improving vehicle stability. The MG EV4 is equipped with Continental tires and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Essence model will include 18-inch alloy wheels.

There is no need for general vehicle maintenance. However, regular maintenance is necessary. This includes brake pads, wheels, air conditioning inspection, and front engine coolant replacement after one year.

The MG4 EV offers a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty. Whichever is reached first will mark the end of the warranty period. For the batteries, MG offers a warranty of 8 years or 150,000 km.

Interior

The interior of the car has a comfortable seat cushion and plenty of legroom. The glossy black color adds to the beauty of the car. Moreover, the standard color combination of both options, glossy black and ivory white, adds a simple yet impressive touch. The seats are equipped with a combination of fabric and leather covers. Similar to Tesla, Smart Start is one of the standout features inside.

This means that the car will start automatically when the driver sits down and touches the steering wheel, provided he or she has the key. Hence, there is no push-button start on the MG4 EV. A 7.1-inch LED speedometer and 10.5-inch center media console are included.

The media unit includes Android Auto, which means that an Internet connection can enhance the performance of the media unit. The MG4 EV is also linked to satellites via satellite connection. The speedometer LED displays information about the last charge, driving time, distance traveled and battery status. Both models lack a sunroof and come with a standard hardtop.

The steering wheel offers height adjustment. However, it does not offer telescopic adjustment. Other features on the steering wheel are adaptive cruise control, lane assist, lane departure warning, forward and rear collision warning, and blind spot detection. A wireless charging system is also installed in the Essence version. Furthermore, the car offers five driving modes: Snow, Eco, Standard, Sport, and Custom. The car also includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Moreover, the trunk includes ample space with a car charging port. Other components included in the shoe are puncture kit and hazard warnings. The driver’s seat is a six-way power seat with no lumbar support.

The Excite comes with a 51.5 kWh battery with a company claimed range of 350 km. The Essence model, on the other hand, is equipped with a 64 kW battery and a range of up to 450 km. The charger has a standard specification of 3kW, and will take about 17-18 hours to charge the car from 0-100%. MG plans to introduce chargers with a capacity of 7 kW and 11 kW to reduce charging time.

Speed ​​test 0-100

Covers MG4 EV Excite model 0-100 km in 7.7 secondswhile the Essence variant reaches 7.2 seconds.

Booking conditions

Booking for the MG4 EV starts at Rs. 5 million with delivery time between 3-4 months. If booked now, tentative delivery time will be around December or January.
