Camp Jeep® and Ram Truck Territory Tours return to Detroit

As the curtain rises on the Detroit Auto Show, formerly known as the North American International Auto Show, anticipation is running high among car enthusiasts in the Motor City. Although the event has evolved from its glory days, it remains a beacon for car enthusiasts eager to see the latest innovations from Detroit’s Big Three automakers.

The popular Camp Jeep® and Ram Truck Territory indoor test tracks are among the attractions. These interactive test tracks attract thousands of people and are sure to be a fan favorite at the upcoming show.

Camp Jeep® –

Jeep Camp is making a triumphant return this year, promising visitors a rejuvenating and exhilarating experience. This interactive course covers a sprawling area of ​​32,000 square feet and offers an exciting adventure led by skilled drivers.

A striking feature of the 2023 Jeep Camp is the stunning off-camber bridge, which stands 12 feet high and spans 70 feet. This represents a significant 50% increase in height and length compared to its predecessor. Another exciting addition is the Notch Pocket, an off-road obstacle that is 40 feet long and 10 feet high and made up of 96 massive wooden pieces that measure 8 inches by 8 inches by 8 feet. The Jeep Crack tests the limits of a 4×4 Jeep’s maneuverability and suspension as you navigate vehicles over towering logs.

For the first time at the Detroit Auto Show, little adventurers will get their own dedicated track, where they can drive a Jeep 4xe Power Wheels vehicle. Plus, the 26-foot climbing wall promises to delight kids and adults alike.

Camp Jeep’s most notable feature is the 23-foot mountain, which features 40-degree ascent and descent angles. It is the tallest and steepest mountain in the history of the Detroit Auto Show.

Beyond adrenaline-inducing tracks, consumers can explore Jeep’s forays into electric vehicles, customization, concept vehicles and more. To show their commitment to the community, 40 potted trees from the show will be donated to local charities after the show.

The Ram Truck Territory is set to wow attendees with an adventure inside a 30,000-square-foot truck, showcasing the ultimate power and capabilities of Ram trucks. Experienced drivers will guide visitors through an interactive course, highlighting the exceptional capabilities of both the Ram 1500 light-duty and 2500/3500 heavy-duty trucks.

In a new addition for 2023, attendees will witness the superior articulation capabilities of Ram trucks as they navigate around a pair of camber wedges at a challenging 26-degree angle. The Ram Mobile Mountain, an 18-foot-tall, 30-yard-long obstacle, is a true test of traction and hill descent technique.
