11/04/2023 0058 hours, Deputy Elms responded to a report of a suicidal youth on Park Street in Phillips. The person was transported to FMH for evaluation.
11/04/2023 at 1109 AM Deputy Gray investigated a civil matter involving a landlord-tenant dispute on Main Street in Strong.
11/04/2023 at 1231 hours, Deputy Morgan received a 911 call at a residence on Route 27 in Wyman Twp. This was an accidental connection.
On 11/04/2023 at 1950 hours, Deputy DiSilvestro responded to a car vs. deer accident on Chesterville Road at the Jay/Chesterville city line at the request of Jay Police. Daniel Pope, 36, of Jay, was driving a 2017 Toyota Prius southbound when the collision occurred.
04/11/2023 1805 hours, Deputy DeSilvestro responded to a report of a car vs. deer accident on Route 27 in New Vineyard. Roger Merrill, 60, of New Vineyard was driving a 1968 Ford Mustang northbound when the collision occurred.
11/05/2023 at 0509 hours, Deputy Couture received a complaint of an alleged vehicle theft from a residence on Burbank Hill Road in Strong. This turned out to be a problem within the family.
11/05/2023 at 0825 hours, Deputy Gray investigated a threatening complaint at a residence on Blake Hill Road in Phillips.
11/05/2023 0831 hours, Deputy Gray investigated a report of vandalism at a residence on Park Street in Phillips.
11/05/2023 0850 AM, Sgt. Shulan investigated an alleged threatening complaint at a residence on Blake Hill Road in Phillips.
11/05/2023 0901 hours, Deputy Gray responded to a car vs. deer accident on Hayno Bog Road in Rangeley. Steve Harlow, 62, of Jay, was driving a 2018 Chevy pickup when the collision occurred.
11/05/2023 1400 hours, Sheriff Nichols and Sgt. Close met with citizens of Avon and Phillips in Phillips regarding their concerns.
05/11/2023 at 1406 hours, Deputy Kotor received a complaint that a person had fired a hunting rifle on Al-Sinaa Road in New Sharon.
05/11/2023 1534 hours, Sgt. Close received a complaint about an unsafe building off Route 27 in New Vineyard. Upon arrival, he discovered that the building was not vacant.
11/05/2023 at 1535 hours, Sgt. Bean received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle without plates on Pope Road in Chesterville. Dutch Gap towed the car.
11/05/2023 at 1606 hours, Sgt. Close responded to a residential alarm on True Hill Road in Strong. This was a false alarm.
05/11/2023 at 1646 hours, Deputy DiSilvestro responded to a report of an alleged violation of a protective order at a residence on Allen Street in Rangeley.
11/05/2023 at 1719 hours, Sgt. Bean responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover on Gilkey Hill Road in Freeman Twp. Hunter Dunham, 19, of Farmington was driving a 2015 Ford Fusion northbound when he lost control around a corner, ran off the road into a ditch, causing the vehicle to roll over. No injuries were reported, and Main Street Service removed the vehicle.
05/11/2023 at 1801 hours, Deputy DeSilvestro responded to a report of a motorcycle vs. deer accident on Main Street in Eustis. The motorcycle and deer were gone when they arrived.
On 11/06/2023 at 07:34, a Fashion Design Deputy responded to a business alarm at Franklin Somerset Credit Union in Kingfield. This was a false alarm.
11/06/2023 at 07:59 Chief Deputy Lowell and Deputy Couture responded to a report of a three vehicle accident at the intersection of Mercer Road and Cape Cod Hill Road in New Sharon. Joshua Goulet, 37, of New Sharon was driving a 2020 Nissan westbound on Mercer Road approaching the intersection with Cape Cod Hill Road and was signaling to turn left. After Goulette was a 2017 Toyota Tacoma driven by Christine Dubord (age 48) of Norredwalk, who was also followed by Tucker Gagnon (age 22) of Auburn who was driving a 2008 Subaru Impreza with 4 passengers, one of whom was an infant. As La Goulette began his turn, Dubord slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting La Goulette. Gagnon swerved left into oncoming traffic to avoid hitting Dubord’s vehicle, and as he passed the stopped vehicle, he was struck by Goulette’s vehicle making the original turn onto Cape Cod Hill Road. New Sharon Fire responded to the scene as well as rescuing Northstar. No one was transported from the scene to the hospital.
06/11/2023 0841 hours, Sgt. Shulan responded to a car vs. deer accident on Route 27 in Coplin Belt. Sarah Boller, 17, of Eustis was driving a 2015 Honda when the collision occurred.
06/11/2023 at 1045 hours, Deputy Couture responded to a report about a person committing suicide at a house on the river road in Carthage. Upon arrival, it was determined that the subject was not suicidal, but rather had some childhood trauma.
11/06/2023 1649 hours, Deputy DeSilvestro conducted a visit to Kingfield Elementary School.
11/06/2023 at 1659 hours, Sgt. Close served his PFA at a residence located on Lucy Knowles Road in Chesterville.
06/11/2023 at 1700 hours, Deputy DeSilvestro responded to a report of a vehicle vs. deer accident on Main Street in Rangeley. Bridget Gossler, 20, of Phillips, was driving a 2019 Hyundai when the collision occurred. The car was towed by Cobb Garage, and no injuries were reported.
06/11/2023 at 1728 hours, Deputy DiSilvestro received a missing person complaint from a residence located on South Shore Drive at Rangeley Plt. The missing elderly man said to have Alzheimer’s disease has been missing from the home since noon. DiSilvestro contacted the Warden Service to conduct the search. They took over the investigation and started searching, and eventually found the man dead in Rangeley Lake.
06/11/2023 at 2114 AM, Sgt. Close responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at Tuttle’s Garage in New Sharon. The person who was there had a car that had broken down and was waiting to wreck it.
11/07/2023 at 0114 AM, Sgt. Officer Close and Farmington Mutschin responded to a disturbance call at a home on Hennessey Road in Industry. No charges were filed, and the person was transported away from the residence.
At 1417/11/07/2023, Deputy Couture received an attempted robbery via a telephone fraud complaint at a residence on Blueberry Hill Road in Chesterville.
11/07/2023 at 1551 hours, Det. Davol investigated a possible PFA violation at a residence on Intervale Road in Temple.
11/07/2023 at 1634 hours, Sgt. Close responded to a complaint on Burbank Hill Road in Strong where a hypodermic needle was discovered on the side of the road.
11/07/2023 at 2126, Deputy DeSilvestro received a complaint of an accident on Main Street in Kingfield. Kyle Cote, 25, of Mexico, was driving a 2012 Nissan Altima northbound when a 2019 Ford F250 driven by Alan Boler, 51, of Eustis, struck the Nissan in the left rear as the driver attempted to pass. No injuries were reported.
11/07/2023 at 0913 AM, Det. Davol assisted Day Mountain Middle School officials with their concerns about an adult who had been in contact with two of their students.
11/08/2023 at 0750 hours, Deputy Gray investigated a complaint at a residence on Carthage Road in Carthage. The complainant was upset about an engine he purchased from a salvage yard that did not run. This is a civil case.
11/08/2023 at 0829 hours, Deputy Gray investigated a vandalism complaint at a residence on Lambert Hill Road in Strong.
11/08/2023 0921 hours, Deputy Morgan investigated a harassment complaint at the Phillips Transfer Station.
11/08/2023 at 1004 AM Deputy Gray investigated an alleged theft complaint at a residence on South Strong Road in Strong. This matter turned out to be civil and not criminal due to a contract between the complainant and the suspect.
08/11/2023 at 1101 hours, Deputy Gray received a complaint about a missing gun that may have fallen from a vehicle on West Freeman Road. At 14:56, someone called saying they found a gun in the road and had it at their house. The gun was returned to its owner.
08/11/2023 at 1138 hours Deputy Gray received a complaint regarding a water rights dispute between neighbors. This was a civil case.
11/08/2023 1312 hours, Deputy Gray investigated a report of a shoplifting at the Chesterville Corner Store in Chesterville.
11/08/2023 at 1339 PM Richards arrested Danielle Voss (22) of Eustis on a warrant after she turned herself in to the Sheriff’s Office.
11/08/2023 at 1426 hours, Representative Davol made a school visit at Mount Abram Secondary School.
11/08/2023 at 1431 hours, Deputy Morgan investigated a trespassing complaint at a residence located on North Ross Ave. In Philips.
11/08/2023 at 1702 hours, Sgt. Close came to a medical emergency at the weigh station on Route 2 in Wilton where a seriously ill person was present. Northstar transported the person to FMH.
11/08/2023 at 1723 hours, Sgt. Close participated in an assembly at Blue Mountain HS
11/08/2023 at 2107 AM, Deputy Elms and Sgt. Bean responded to a disturbance call at a residence located on Depot Street at Dallas Plt. No charges were filed.
11/08/2023 at 2159, Deputy Elms received a 9111 call in the Town of Rangeley. The source of the call was not determined.
11/09/2023 0328 hours, Deputy Morgan responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Sand Pond Road in Chesterville. No charges were filed.
09/11/2023 at 0707 hours, Deputy Morgan responded to a vehicle versus turkey accident on Weeks Mills Road in New Sharon. Stuart Dorrell, 66, of Industry, was driving a 2020 GMC when the collision occurred.
11/09/2023 at 1233 hours, Deputy Morgan investigated a vandalism complaint to Legion Field off South Main Street in Strong.
09/11/2023 1626pm Davol responded to a domestic dispute at a home on Dixfield Road in Weald. As a result of the investigation, Carrie Maass, 40, of Farmington was arrested for violation of conditions of release and transported to jail by Farmington Police after being evaluated at FMH for medical purposes.
11/09/2023 at 1808 hours, Sgt. Bean received a request for a welfare check for a man who was staying at a residence on Libby Road in Carthage. It was discovered that the man no longer lived there and had moved to Romford.
11/09/2023 1816 hours Deputy Elms and Sgt. Bean responded to a report of an assault at a home on Wheeler Hill Road in Phillips. As a result of the investigation, Ronald Haley, 58, of Dixfield was arrested for violation of conditions of release and transported to jail.
11/09/2023 at 1841 hours, Sgt. Bean responded to a report of a suspicious person near Kingfield DOT. He was unable to determine the topic.
11/09/2023 at 2108 AM, Sgt. Bean responded to a report of an alleged shooting from West Mills Road in Industry. nothing was found.
11/10/2023 at 0635, Deputy Morgan responded to a report of a car vs. deer accident on Main Street at Rangeley Plt. Dawson Burdick (24) of Sandy River Belt. He was driving a 2013 Ford F-150 when the collision occurred.
11/10/2023 at 0835, Deputy Morgan assisted a motorist whose vehicle had broken down on Salem Road in Phillips. He was able to drive the person to Farmington.
10/11/2023 at 0937, Deputy Morgan received a request for a welfare check on a man living in the woods with his dog off the Carthage River Road. Morgan located and recognized a man who stated that he had permission to camp there for the winter and that he would be moving in the spring.
10/11/2023 at 1012 AM, Sgt. Shulan responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Sand Pond Road in Chesterville. This is the same place, which Deputy Morgan responded to the day before in the same circumstances. No charges were filed.
10/11/2023 at 1212 PM, Deputy Morgan responded to a report of a possible drunk driver on Route 156 in Chesterville. He was unable to locate the car.
10/11/2023 at 1549 hours, Sgt. Shulan received a 911 call from Valley Brook Variety in Avon. This was an accidental phone call.
10/11/2023 at 1607 hours, Sgt. Shulan received a complaint about a vehicle driving erratically on Mercer Road in New Sharon. He was unable to locate the car.
10/11/2023 at 1729 hours, Sgt. Shulan received a request for a welfare check at a residence on Starks Road in New Sharon. Upon his arrival, he found the person there fine, but unable to answer the phone due to poor hearing.
10/11/2023 at 1853 hours, Deputy DiSilvestro responded to a vehicle vs. deer accident on Rumford Road in Rangeley. Richard Guy, 50, of South Paris, was driving a 2014 Toyota when the collision occurred.
11/10/2023 2307 hours, Deputy DiSilvestro responded to a residential alarm off Bald Mountain Road in Rangeley. The building was secure.
Deputies also conducted 7 elderly checks, 8 building checks and responded to 3 hoax 911 calls.
