Friends honor 21-year-old Stillwater man after OSBI thinks they’ve found his body

On Sept. 8, those agencies used a helicopter to look over a wide area in Payne County. “During that search, when they were looking, they found parts of Crawford’s car,” said Hunter Mackey, OSBI public information officer. A 21-year-old man connected to it was arrested on charges of first-degree murder and theft. “We made the arrest and contact because we found that male deceased near where that suspect was located,” Mackey said. Friends said Crawford’s love of family and friends will be what they will miss most. I honestly didn’t know what to think. I couldn’t wrap my head around it. “He loves everyone, he loves everything about trucks,” Stancil said. They are hosting the get-together for another opportunity to meet their friend and make memories in his honor. “We have a group of people in this small community that we deal with, and we’re not all friends, but we’re there for each other when we need them,” Humphrey said. “He was a really good friend. He was always there for me, always in the trucks,” friend Connor Humphrey said.

Crawford’s friends hold a truck reunion to keep his memory alive.

“That’s how we would all get together and talk. We never had much time to hang out,” our friend Alana Stancil said.

The OSBI has searched for Crawford since early September but believes they have found the 21-year-old’s body.
