Our test car had 22-inch wheels and adaptive air suspension for a comfortable ride.
With three different driving modes, the Levante provides a personalized driving experience. We spent most of our time in Normal or Sport mode. Normal mode provides a more cushioned ride, suitable for everyday driving, and better fuel economy. Sport mode was a fun jump in, offering a more spirited ride through town. There’s also an off-road mode for those who dabble in the dirt. However, Corsa Mode is the piece de resistance in a luxury SUV.
Corsa mode allows the Levante Trofeo to shift faster and sound better while dropping the suspension noticeably. This mode will enable you to use launch control, which turns off traction control and other driver aids. Corsa Mode was perhaps the highlight of our time with the Levante Trofeo, combining race car handling with the powerful performance of an SUV. As the fastest SUV in the Maserati lineup, the Levante delivers on its promises.
What is the maximum speed of the Maserati Levante four-wheel drive car?
The Maserati Levante Trofeo SUV has a top speed of 187 mph and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. As the top model, the Maserati Levante’s top speed ranges from 187 mph to 156 mph for the GT, which is still a respectable top speed. In Off-Road mode, the Levante adds 40mm of ground clearance to make short work of tough terrain. Maserati also has Aero models to reduce aerodynamic resistance and increase speed.
The automaker uses its Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system to stabilize the luxury SUV in all conditions. Moreover, the upgraded suspension system does an excellent job of absorbing bumps on the road. The Levante Trofeo comes equipped with high-performance Brembo brakes, which live up to the stated expectations The Fast and the Furious.
After spending time behind the wheel of a Maserati Levante, it all makes a lot of sense. Luxury SUVs feel safe and secure on the road while providing an upscale driving experience.
