The Volvo The stylish XC90 is now also available as a hybrid dubbed the Recharge, but for the sake of this article, we’ll stick with the standard model. However, even the non-PHEV version is equipped with a mild hybrid system.

So, how much can car shoppers expect to pay for a new Volvo XC90? From base to top trim, here’s how much a fully loaded 2024 Volvo XC90 costs.

The 2024 Volvo XC90 starts at $57,095

The 2024 Volvo XC90 features minimal updates, but one notable change is the elimination of the “dark theme” that features black exterior pieces.

The gas-only 2024 Volvo XC90 is available in three models – Core, Plus and Ultimate – with prices starting at $57,195, which includes destination charges.

Two drives are available for the Core and Plus models. The B5 powertrain features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system paired with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, generating 247 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

The available B6 powertrain uses the same engine and electric motor, but power has been increased to 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque for increases of 66 hp and 37 lb-ft, respectively. The XC90 also features all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission, regardless of powertrain or model.

Standard equipment for the XC90 includes 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, roof rails and a panoramic sunroof. The cabin features faux leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 10-speaker sound system, satellite radio, and four-zone automatic climate control. A vertically oriented 9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity is integrated into the dashboard.

A long list of standard safety features and driver aids is highlighted by adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, front and rear automatic braking, and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert. All XC90 models are also equipped with a driver attention warning, traffic sign reader, front/rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams.

The XC90 Ultimate tops the range at $70,595

The Ultimate model, as its name suggests, is the top model of the 2024 Volvo XC90 range, with prices starting at $70,595 with destination. The Ultimate model is available exclusively with the more powerful B6 powertrain.

Upgrades include real leather upholstery, adjustable side bolsters for the front seats, ventilated and heated front seats, wood interior trim, a crystal gear selector, rear-seat sunshades, and a Harman Kardon audio system. The Ultimate model rides on 21-inch wheels and features a head-up display and surround-view camera system.

Both models carry seven passengers as standard with a second-row bench seat, but second-row captain’s chairs, which reduce seating capacity to six, can be installed in the Plus model for $4,000. The cost comes down to just $500 for the finished models.

Wheels that are one inch larger than standard are available for all models for an additional $800. All models can be equipped with illuminated running boards ($2,400), a retractable trailer hitch ($1,580), or a trunk lid ($345).
