“With PEAR, we have thrown convention out the window,” said Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO. “We created this vehicle with the idea that young people living in the world’s major cities need innovative, versatile and affordable mobility.”

Fisker showed off the PEAR, which is scheduled to be built in the U.S. in collaboration with Foxconn at a plant in Ohio, on August 3 in the company’s first-ever product viewing day.

Fisker also announced that PEAR for production will be publicly displayed at the Fisker Lounge Munich (Kaufingerstrasse) from September 4-10, in conjunction with the IAA Mobility 2023 event in Munich.

PEAR uses a new mild steel chassis. Fisker’s engineering and design departments have worked to reduce the number of parts by 35%. At approximately 15 feet (4,550 mm) long, the vehicle is smaller than the Fisker Ocean SUV, which began deliveries in the second quarter of 2023. It features a unique Houdini box that enables owners to load and unload in tight street parking lots and avoid damage in parking lots. the cars. Structures with low ceilings. The trunk lid and glass move down behind the rear bumper beam and are thus protected in the event of a rear-end collision. (The slow-speed Houdini box was activated on August 3 to allow the feature to be captured on video, and the production version will move up and down at high speed.)

Additional features include a drawer-like front trunk, or “froot,” that can be used to store anything from pizza deliveries to sweaty workout gear, thus keeping unpleasant odors out of the cabin; It will be offered with an insulated option to keep food hot or cold. The cabin itself is designed to be extremely sturdy, with no fragile moving parts – excellent for car sharing applications, busy families with kids or people who like plenty of storage space everywhere.

The PEAR will also have a lounge mode, where all seats can be folded flat including the fold-back rear seat in the trunk area, to create a large lounge space for watching a movie or taking a break. The PEAR will come with an optional 17.1-inch swivel screen for lounge-mode entertainment. The five-seater will have the option to seat six people, with a large two-seater bench replacing the single front passenger seat and center console.

The interior will feature recycled and bio-based materials to help make PEAR a sustainability leader in its class. PEAR will also be the foundation of Fisker’s goal to create a carbon-neutral vehicle by 2027. The vehicle has been presented in final production form, with the exception of the exterior camera mirrors, which are still under review.

Two battery options will provide an estimated range of 180 miles, aiming to be the lightest and most sustainable version, or an estimated range of 320 miles for longer trips. (WLTP estimates 320 to 560 km)*. The car is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, and from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The PEAR will be offered with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, will ride on standard 20-inch wheels and will be equipped with low-rolling-resistance tires and optional 22-inch wheels with high-performance tires. Also in the lineup will be a high-performance model, the Fisker PEAR Extreme.

PEAR will be the first Fisker vehicle to implement the company’s in-house designed high-performance computer, Fisker Blade, which will provide an entirely new digital and connected customer experience for the era of software-defined vehicles. Designed to be fast, energy-efficient, safe and cyber-secure, the Fisker Blade is packed into a slim, modular and fully upgradeable unit. Fisker Blade delivers up to 6.2 TFLOPs and up to 25% more performance per watt used. The system uses an asymmetric processing architecture for greater energy efficiency. The vehicle features an internal multi-gigabit Ethernet network that connects the rest of the vehicle’s systems to the Fisker Blade for high-speed communication and diagnostics. 5G/Wi-Fi6 wireless turns PEAR into a cloud-connected micro-data center, where Fisker designs and develops both the vehicle system software and data pipeline for highly efficient cloud and in-vehicle analytics.

Manufacturing and delivery are expected to begin in July 2025. New images of PEAR are available here.
