The 2024 Irish Large SUV/MPV Award was presented in association with Continental Tires at the 2024 Irish Car of the Year Awards, hosted by members of the Motor Media Association of Ireland (MMAI).

The prestigious awards are voted on by MMAI members who individually evaluate each new car model launched in Ireland each year. The awards ceremony was attended by Ireland’s leading car brands, importers and distributors.

“This award recognizes how the Nissan Year of Nissan Ireland: “Driving an electric vehicle without having to connect the vehicle to a power source to recharge it.”

The unique element of e-POWER is that the gasoline engine is only used to charge the battery which powers the electric motor to drive the wheels. The all-new Nissan X-Trail e-POWER is also available with Nissan e-4ORCE all-wheel drive technology, which ensures a more controlled and stable ride.

It builds on the well-established DNA passed down by previous generations of the X-Trail: rugged design, flexible handling and advanced all-wheel drive capabilities. It is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations.

It has also been designed to make life easier for parents with infants and young children. The rear passenger doors are integrated with sun blinds for protection on sunny days, and open at approximately 90 degrees for easy access to the second-row seats. A hands-free power liftgate makes accessing the spacious trunk easy.

The car is packed with technology and innovative safety features. It’s specifically designed to meet the needs of tech-savvy customers and be a partner in an increasingly connected world, offering seamless personalized assistance and responses, as well as in-car WiFi for up to seven devices.

The e-PEDAL system allows drivers to start, accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal. The new X-Trail e-POWER is also equipped with the ProPILOT system with Navi-link capable of accelerating and braking the car within one lane on the highway.

The new Nissan 2-4-1 deal, currently available on the Nissan Juke and on the Nissan e-POWER Qashqai and X-Trail models, allows anyone who buys a new Nissan 241 this year to get a new Nissan 251 next year for free. These buyers also get Nissan’s four-year extended manufacturer’s warranty and four years of RAC membership.
