Rivian Denver
Electric vehicle company Rivian has opened a 4,500-square-foot space in Denver to showcase its flagship vehicles. The store is Rivian’s first retail foray into Denver. The company already operated a service center locally but will now focus on attracting new customers as well as serving its existing customer base through the retail centre.
Company experts will be on hand at the center to showcase the Rivian R1S and R1T, as well as answer questions about the logistics of owning and living with an electric car. The R1T is an electric truck and the R1S is an electric SUV, and both are described as vehicles that can handle all terrains and a range of lifestyles, from family life to outdoor adventures.
The Denver store opened on Friday, October 27 in the River North Art District at 2763 Blake St. Drive tests are available by appointment.
Rivian announced earlier this year that it would launch a new series of retail centers it calls “Spaces” across the country, starting in New York City.
“The launch of Rivian Spaces is a key part of our next phase of growth, introducing retail locations as a key experiential touchpoint and bringing the brand to life through an in-store experience,” said Tony Carafano, senior director of customer engagement at Rivian. In a press release. “By planting roots in key regions across North America, we are building our physical footprint to support current, future and potential customers, meeting them where they are and showing up in a way that is authentic to Rivian.”
Erie Group
Golden-based ERI Group, which designs and develops medical products, announced new leadership amid plans to bolster its presence in the Denver area this year. The company says it brings medical innovations to life, overseeing product design and development, quality assurance and regulatory affairs, in addition to manufacturing.
ERI announced this month that its new CEO is Natasha Bond and its new CFO is Brett Maxam. Bond previously served as president of the company. Maxam comes to ERI with over 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience.
“This is an exciting time for ERI Group. I am thrilled to take the reins as CEO and welcome Brett Maxam to our leadership team as CFO to help support our vision and continue to help our customers achieve their goals of bringing life-changing medical and wellness products to market,” said Bond. In a press release.
ERI Group plans to move into an additional 34,000 square feet of space in Arvada by the end of the year. The new lease comes as ERI Group works to grow its contract manufacturing services.
“I am very excited to join the ERI Group at this time to help support the organization’s vision to deliver an unparalleled range of comprehensive services to businesses in the medical and healthcare sectors,” Maxam said in a press release. “Our commitment to quality and our expanded manufacturing offerings will continue to set ERI Group apart and help us better meet the growing needs of our customers.”
GoodVets
A new pet hospital is coming to South Denver amid the ongoing expansion of national chain GoodVets into the Denver metro area.
The veterinary center and pet hospital, located at 1316 E. Evans Ave., accepts new patients and offers health care, preventive services, diagnostics, routine and complex surgery and urgent care.
“I couldn’t be more excited to expand our practice and open our next clinic in the Denver area. This is an amazing opportunity to continue providing exceptional pet care in this vibrant and bustling community,” Dr. Jessica Hess said in a press release.
Construction on the East Evans Avenue facility was completed in October. Construction company Mosaic Construction led the project, converting a former bank into a veterinary clinic.
Hess, who also opened a GoodVets location in Golden earlier this year, will lead both locations as owner and medical director. Hess plans to open a third GoodVets location in Denver later this year. The GoodVets model focuses on allowing veterinarians to own their practices.
The GoodVets South Denver clinic is located near the University of Denver and offers online booking. It is the chain’s 24th location in the United States
