A Centerville store was the beneficiary of allegedly bad checks in August.
Police reports indicate the checks were distributed at Mom’s Centerville One Stop. One of the suspects, who was not named, presented a check for $220 from an account with insufficient funds. The investigation into the incident reported on August 23 is ongoing.
A Bedford woman reported her mailbox stolen.
The 53-year-old told police the surge protector power strip, valued at $30, was taken sometime Sept. 29-30 from an East St. mailbox. Clair Township.
Police are asking for help finding a missing firearm in Shellsburg.
Sometime on October 26, a Stoeger Condor Special 12GA rifle with 28-inch over- or under-barrel with premium finish, wood stock and gold trigger, which was last seen in a camouflage carry case, went missing. The price of the rifle is $325.
Two people were cited for harassment at the Chalipit Lane camp in Bedford Township on October 17.
The 25-year-old man and 46-year-old woman were reported for harassment at 11:05 p.m., according to police reports.
A missing rifle was found at the intersection of Business Route 220 and Route 56 at 10:30 a.m. on October 26.
A passing motorist found the firearm thrown on the road. Anyone wishing to claim the weapon should call police at 814-623-6133. The owner will be asked to describe the gun in detail and provide proof of ownership.
A man’s car caught fire in Frostburg, Maryland after crashing into a deer.
Travis Blubaugh, 43, was northbound on Bedford Valley Road at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 18 when a deer came up the road. The front bumper of the 2016 Hyundai Elantra Blubo she was driving struck the deer, then came to rest on the shoulder before the engine compartment caught fire, police said. No injuries were reported.
A Lititz woman has been cited following a two-vehicle accident in Napier Township on October 20.
According to police reports, Allison Strauss, 34, and Zachary Novak, 28, were heading west on Lincoln Highway near its intersection with Tolles Hill Road. Police allege that Strauss, who was driving a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, suddenly braked and was struck from behind by a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Novak. Minor injuries are suspected. Strauss was cited for expired registration.
A Rockwood, Michigan woman was found passed out behind the wheel of her car on September 28.
The woman, who has not been named, was parked at the gas pump of a Toyota Tacoma with the engine running at the Gateway Travel Plaza in Breezewood shortly before 6 p.m., and further police investigation indicated the woman was under the influence of alcohol.
A Bank alum was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after an Oct. 23 accident.
Logan Greaser McIntyre, 18, was eastbound on Chrisman Road when his 2010 Chevrolet Silverado slid onto the road. Police reports state that Greaser McIntyre, 18, was unable to right the vehicle, causing it to swerve into the westbound lane before traveling on the edge of the southbound carriageway, where it struck a tree, just before 11 a.m.
A vehicle caught fire for unknown reasons on Main Street in Everett.
According to police, Chase L. Brick, 18, was traveling west when his 2004 Volkswagen Jetta caught fire for unknown reasons around 7:45 p.m. on October 22. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. .
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash on Quaker Valley Road on October 22.
Cameron Baker, 19, of Allum Bank, was westbound in a 2997 Jeep Cherokee behind a 2015 Nissan Rogue driven by Diana Doll, 53, also of Allum Bank. Police reports state Doll began to slow down to turn, but Baker was unable to stop in time, and was struck from behind by her car at about 7:30 p.m. No injuries were reported, but Baker was cited for following too closely.
A New Paris man was arrested on underage drinking charges after a Sept. 2 traffic stop on the Lincoln Highway.
State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2015 Ford Edge in Bedford Township at 3 a.m. when they allegedly found Zane Sturgis, 18, under the influence. Sturgis was arrested for underage drinking.
A California, Pennsylvania, man has been charged after handing over a marijuana cigarette to police.
Joshua McNeil, 32, was stopped at 4pm on October 30 at the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Cambria Road, in West Providence Township, for a vehicle law violation. Police alleged that a strong odor of marijuana was emanating from the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.
Several guns were stolen from a Londonderry residence sometime between September 4 and October 15.
Police said the firearms were stolen from a 29-year-old Bedford man. Items stolen included: a Glock 19 pistol holster valued at $25; Flock of Burnt Bronze 19 Gen. 4 worth $400; Glock 43x in black cherry with engraved roses, $400; Glock 20 Black, Get 4 for $450; Blue Gray Marker 229 $600; and SC 509C Desert Tan FN 509C, $600.
A Queen woman was cited for harassment on October 27.
Brenda Fernandez, 66, was cited by police at 9:26 p.m. in the alleged Kimmel Township incident involving a 57-year-old Queen man.
