Range Rover Velar updated for 2023, priced at INR 94.30 lakh onwards

One of the most popular models from the British-owned automaker is ready to rule the Indian streets in an all-new avatar. The Range Rover Velar has been a game-changer for Land Rover, especially in markets where people prefer the mid-luxury segment. Priced at Rs.94.30 Lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the fully loaded Dynamic HSE variant, the SUV has received some light tweaks all around.

Range Rover Velar 2023: What’s new?

Starting from the outside, the facelifted Velar received a minor revision in the form of a pair of new, sleeker-looking headlights, sleeker taillights, a new grille and a revised bumper (front and rear). Subsequently, Land Rover announced that the 2023 Velar is available in four colours, and for this reason, the palette will now consist of Fuji Red, Santorini Black, Varisen Blue and Zadar Gray only.

The cabin of the updated SUV has also received some significant revisions to keep it relevant to today’s world. For example, the center console is now clutter-free and the size of the touchscreen system has increased slightly. The 2023 Range Rover Velar will be sold with two interior designs. To be precise, it will be either deep agate with bone or caraway with ebony.

Next is the list of features and fortunately, it is quite long. As the brand told us, the updated Velar will be available with the Dynamic Exterior Package as standard and here is the list of features:

Under the bonnet, the all-new Range Rover Velar is available with either a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol or diesel engine. Starting with the petrol engine, it produces a whopping 250bhp and 365Nm, while the diesel engine produces 204bhp and 430m, making it an ideal luxury SUV. Land Rover claims the Velar can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 7.5 seconds (petrol version) and 8.3 seconds (diesel version) with a top speed of 217kph ​​and 210kph respectively.

In India, the 2023 Velar will compete with some global products including Jaguar F-Pace, Audi Q5, Porsche Macan, Volvo XC60, and Mercedes-Benz GLC to name a few. With that in mind, it will be interesting to see if this updated product is exciting enough to make a difference.
