Redesigned BMW X2 2024: Everything you need to know

The 2024 BMW X2 is a compact luxury crossover SUV. It features sporty handling, lively engines and useful in-car technology. The X2 was introduced for the 2018 model year and was completely redesigned for the 2024 model year, marking its first complete redesign ever. The new-look X2 features a large, bold grille, sharply slanted headlights and a more upright design. One minor change is the removal of the “round” BMW logo from the C-pillars. The badge is now located at the rear as it is on the rest of the BMW lineup.

The X2 is offered in two models, xDrive28i and M35i. The xDrive28i comes with 19-inch alloy wheels and is available with 20- or 21-inch wheels. The M35i comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels and is available with 20- or 21-inch wheels. The M35i also features unique design elements, including a black mesh surround and a rear spoiler.

The xDrive28i comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It produces 241 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The M35i also features a 2.0-liter turbo-four, but it’s been tuned to produce 312 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. With both engines, power is routed through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system. The M35i has a zero to sixty mph time of 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. According to BMW, the suspension has been revised in order to reduce torque steer and improve straight-line stability. It should be an inspiring and relaxing trip at the same time.

In addition to its quicker acceleration, the M35i features Adaptive M suspension, M Sport brakes and paddle shifters. These features are available on the xDrive28i as part of the M Sport package. The M Sport Professional package adds tinted trim, composite brakes, red brake calipers, a rear spoiler, and M Sport front sport seats.

With the rear seats folded, the BMW X2 has 51.7 cubic feet of cargo space. With the rear seats upright, it still offers 25.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats.
