Several people, including Sacramento resident Jorge Montanez, witnessed the collision and said it was scary to see it happen up close. “As soon as the car landed, all the cops were in the back, guns drawn because of the stolen car.” Montanez said he never expected to see a stolen car chased and crashed downtown, especially at his local watering hole. “I’ve been coming to this bar for over 15 years, and we’ve never seen anything like this before. I was asking the head bartender, ‘Is this the craziest thing you’ve ever seen?'” He was like, “Sure,” Montanez said. Sacramento Police have not provided any further details about the investigation at this time. It remains unclear how, when and where the truck was stolen in the first place.
