Sedans and SUVs from Honda and Acura win five 2023 Newsweek Auto Awards

Newsweek editors honored four Honda and Acura models with five 2023 Newsweek Autos Awards, including a top Editor’s Choice, and wholeheartedly recommended them to buyers. The Honda Accord, Honda CR-V and Acura TLX were all recognized as best in class, with the Honda Accord winning Best Family Sedan and Best Midsize Car awards. Additionally, the all-new 2023 Honda Pilot earned our prestigious Editors’ Choice award.
The following Honda and Acura models won Newsweek’s 2023 Automotive Awards:
- The best family sedan: Honda Accord
- Best mid-sized car: Honda Accord
- The best family SUV: Honda CR-V
- The best premium car: Acura TLX
- Editors’ Choice: Honda Pilot
Honda and Acura models won a total of 10 Newsweek Auto Awards since the awards were established in 2021, including a repeat win for the Acura MDX in the Best 3-Row SUV category. Acura sports sedans dominated the Best Luxury Car category, winning three years in a row; TLX (2021, 2023) and Integra (2022).
Since 2021, annual Newsweek The Car Awards highlight the best in the industry across 33 car categories and individual brands. the Newsweek The automotive team drove about 200 vehicles, rating them in seven categories: performance, handling and braking, technology, cargo area, seating, interior appointments and price. Winners in the Best Cars, SUVs, Trucks and Vans category received 40 percent of their overall rating based on the test drive score and 60 percent based on features and specifications.
