Succession star Alan Ruck bumps into Rivian at a Hollywood restaurant

A freak multi-car accident occurred in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Halloween night. The driver of a Rivian R1T crashed into several cars and crashed into the wall of a pizzeria. Later, it appeared that actor Alan Ruck was driving the electric minivan.
Social media is filled with photos and videos from the scene of the accident that occurred at the intersection of La Brea Street and Hollywood Boulevard on Tuesday evening around 9:00 p.m. According to eyewitnesses, Rivian was traveling at a high rate of speed just before the accident.
The driver reportedly accelerated from a complete stop, pushed a car into the intersection, struck another car, struck a parked car, and then violently crashed into the building. Pictures from the scene show that Al-Rifian remained stuck in the bathroom wall.
Authorities are still investigating the accident and have not revealed any possible cause of the accident yet. The event is surrounded by speculation. A possible medical issue for the driver, a technical malfunction, a software glitch, or road rage are some of the variables social media users have come up with in the comments of posts from the scene.
Two people were injured and taken to area hospitals, and are said to be in good condition now. But there is no information whether they were riding in one of the other vehicles involved in the accident or whether they were inside the restaurant that was struck by Al-Rifian. No bystanders were injured.

When life imitates art
One thing is certain, though. Neither of the two injured people was the driver of the Rivian car. Sources claim that the actor who was driving the R1T was seen talking on the phone immediately after the accident and remained at the scene to tell the police his side of the story. Sources told TMZ there was no indication he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to prevent a fire EveBattery pack. The rivian had to be pulled from the wall. Authorities claim the restaurant building may have suffered structural damage. It wouldn’t be a surprise, considering the electric truck weighs more than 7,100 pounds (3,220 kg). The car appears to be a write-off, as the entire front end is torn off.
Ruck starred in the HBO series Succession as Connor Roy, and was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at this year’s Emmy Awards.
He is also known for his role as Cameron Frye’s Ruck in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, where he crashes his father’s Ferrari. He also appeared in 145 episodes of the series ABC Comedy Spin City, stars Stuart Pundick.
This isn’t the first Rivian R1T crash
With all the hype surrounding the accident caused by Alan Rock, people took to social media to say that Alan’s electric pickup truck was the first Rivian R1T to crash. It couldn’t be further from the truth.
Back in September 2022, a low-mileage pickup truck ended up on the salvage market with significant damage to the front and right side. The model’s odometer unfortunately showed only 200 miles (340 km) after a short and intense life on the road.
In fact, the first Rivian vehicle involved in an accident collided with a parked Mercedes-Benz S-Class in September 2021, just one week after the first production trucks left the assembly line.
