The 2024 Volvo C40 and XC40 Recharge get serious upgrades for less
Volvo has announced full US pricing for its 2024 range, and its EVs are better deals than ever.

Volvo has finally announced US pricing for its full 2024 model range, including the electric Volvo C40 Recharge and Volvo XC40 Recharge. As we know, the all-electric C40 and XC40 models are much improved and offer a much better EPA range of nearly 300 miles. Their prices are no different than before.
The 2024 Volvo C40 Recharge, with all-new rear-wheel drive, starts at an MSRP of $53,600 and is rated at 297 miles of EPA range, using an all-new 82 kWh battery. The all-wheel drive version costs an additional $1,750. At $55,350, it’s basically on par with the all-wheel-drive version for 2023. That car’s EPA range is now 257 miles, up from 226 miles previously. Given this range increase of less than two years, plus an all-new, lower-priced rear-wheel drive version with some very respectable range, it’s safe to say the Volvo C40 Recharge is a better deal than ever.
In the case of the 2024 Volvo XC40 Recharge, the rear-drive version starts at an MSRP of $52,450, while the all-wheel-drive version starts at $54,200 ($650 more than the 2023MY version). In this case, the destination fee is slightly higher ($1,195, compared to the previous $1,095 and C40). Furthermore, Volvo notes that this marks the return of a rear-wheel drive powertrain to its range after 25 years.

Both models are imported, so they are not eligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA). However, there is a possibility that incentive may be available through leasing.

For reference, the XC40 gasoline starts at an MSRP of $40,100 (up to $48,800), while the C40 is electric-only.
