All models get these new or enhanced features and technologies: Chevrolet Safety Assist with six advanced safety and driver awareness technologies; Larger infotainment screens – 8-inch screen standard, 11-inch screen on LT, 2RS and ACTIV models; wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity; LED headlights; 17-, 18- or 19-inch wheels; Four-wheel disc brakes; And active noise cancellation.

Cruise control is included on all models, with adaptive cruise control available on higher trims, including the 2RS.

In our car, the Adaptive Cruse was part of the Driver Confidence Package ($650), which also brought rear cross-traffic alert, lane change alert with side blind zone alert.

All Trax models come with a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. It is coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Don’t let the three cylinders discourage you. With a turbocharger, this engine delivers quick power on takeoff, and plenty of passing power at highway speeds. It was a huge surprise to see this car jump forward when the traffic light turned green and the accelerator was pressed.
