The new MINI Countryman S ALL4
Munich. The enthusiasm for typical MINI driving pleasure knows no bounds. Versatile, powerful and spacious, the MINI Countryman S ALL4 guarantees familiar driving pleasure on any terrain. The new, larger MINI model combines the flexible options of a crossover with intelligent all-wheel drive. The new MINI Countryman offers significantly more interior space. Thanks to the rear seat backrest, which can be separated in a ratio of 40:20:40, the luggage compartment offers various storage options. Its volume ranges from 450 liters to 1450 liters and can easily transport oversized items when the rear seat is folded down.
Innovative assistance functions, including Level 2 partially automated driving and comprehensive digital displays, support drivers and passengers in new ways. A 48-volt mild hybrid motor increases the efficiency of the 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine. Thanks to an optimized drag coefficient of 0.26, a new record in its segment, fuel consumption has been significantly reduced in the new MINI Countryman S ALL4.
“With its powerful four-cylinder petrol engine and sporty design, the new MINI Countryman S ALL4 sets new standards in its segment,” says Stephanie Wurst, Head of MINI Brand.
More freedom thanks to the intelligent all-wheel drive system.
The ALL4 all-wheel drive system provides a noticeable increase in traction, safety, driving stability and agility. Thanks to quick and precise electronic control, power is distributed between the front and rear wheels as needed in all road and weather conditions.
The slightly increased track width and increased wheelbase form the basis for excellent driving dynamics and increased comfort. For even more driving pleasure on any surface, new wheel and tire combinations are available for the MINI Countryman.
Direct steering and the combination of a single-joint MacPherson strut front axle and a multi-link rear axle ensure an unmistakable typical MINI feel. To switch between city traffic and excursions into nature, the chassis can be balanced and comfortable or particularly sporty. Adaptive chassis with 15 mm lowering and optional dampers are optionally available.
MINI Countryman S ALL4 (fuel consumption: 7.4 – 6.8 l/100 km, CO2 emissions: 169 – 155 g/km WLTP) delivers 160 kW/218 hp and 360 Nm of torque with its chassis Smooth. Two-liter four-cylinder turbo engine. The 48-volt mild hybrid motor supports the vehicle’s performance in the low speed range and guarantees a temporary boost of 14 kW.
A new feature in the MINI is the option of semi-automated driving on multi-lane roads. This allows the driver to take his hands off the wheel at speeds of up to 60 km/h, as long as he continues to closely monitor traffic and is ready to intervene at any time. When changing lanes, the auxiliary system helps by identifying the necessary traffic gaps on the way to the exit. This then causes the car to reach the ideal speed and the lane change begins automatically.
More MINI aesthetics with less design language.
Regardless of the terrain, the MINI Countryman is recognizable at first sight as a MINI. The new design impresses with its particularly clear aesthetics. From the front, the car looks tidy and is characterized by the taut shape of the hood and the new octagonal front grille. The MINI LED headlights highlight the individuality of the streamlined design with their individual signature modes. The short overhangs and slim outline are as typical MINI as the extended contrasting roof.
The wide, upright stance of the new MINI Countryman emphasizes its presence and strong off-road character. The vertical taillights frame the car’s silhouette and make the new MINI crossover look particularly upright and sporty.
The car’s design, which is limited to the essentials, can be presented in different ways with four models – Essential, Classic, Favored and John Cooper Works – for the exterior and interior. For example, the individual personal favorite decoration of the MINI Countryman S ALL4 stands out with particularly expressive details. With the stylish Melting Silver body color and 21-inch 950 Rally Spoke wheels (available as an accessory), the Adventurer looks rugged and high-quality. For the new MINI Countryman, alloy wheels are available in different designs and sizes from 17 to 21 inches.
Opening new horizons with innovative materials.
Inside the new MINI Countryman S ALL4, clear shapes highlight the new design language. The two-tone textured dashboard creates a fresh, homey feel to the space. The panoramic glass roof brings more light into the interior, and the high-quality ergonomic seats provide a secure and comfortable grip.
High-quality materials, innovative technology and individually adjustable lighting create an immersive driving experience. One of the highlights of the new MINI Countryman is the MINI Experience modes. Each mode has its own design and ambient lighting. With one command, the entire look and feel of the cockpit changes. Different modes emphasize different aspects of the diverse adventurer. The new MINI driving sounds create a unique atmosphere that supports personal driving settings, especially emotionally, through specially composed sounds.
In the cockpit of the MINI Countryman, the focus is on the high-resolution circular OLED display. With a diameter of 240 mm and a high-quality glass surface, the instrument cluster sets a new standard. For comfortable operation of the infotainment and assistance systems, the MINI Interaction Unit is placed closer to the driver and passenger. With the new MINI 9 operating system, all vehicle functions can be operated intuitively via touch or voice assistants.
