This comes with the expected launch of two models with high standards. These are the XC40 Electric compact SUV and the C40 Electric coupe crossover. The Swedish brand’s flagship, the 100% electric XC40, has become, with its ‘Recharge’ line, Volvo’s first all-electric car designed for urban life. Crowned European Car of the Year, this premium compact SUV seduces with the avant-garde character of its design and modernity. In terms of power, the XC40 Recharge has a new generation engine with 408 hp, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with a promised range of up to 531 km. For its part, the C40 Recharge is only offered in a 100% electric version. The final two models in the 40 range are hugely popular, emphasizing all of Volvo’s technology, with a full range of safety features, technical innovations and digital services, such as the infotainment system co-developed with Google. Its contemporary and elegant design is inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics, combining functionality and simplicity.

Electric future

Volvo Cars is already a leader in the fast-growing premium electric vehicle market. By 2025, the Scandinavian brand expects fully electric cars to account for 50% of its global sales and intends to market electric cars only.
