Pennsylvania State Police said a tractor trailer pulling a bulldozer caused a crash in the Turnpike Tunnel and then left the scene. The accident occurred inside the Blue Mountain Tunnel on the Pennsylvania Turnpike around 10:30 p.m. in Lurgan Township, Franklin County. The tractor trailer was towing the bulldozer on a flat bed, state police said. Part of the bulldozer blade was hanging over the oncoming lane and hit the tire of an oncoming truck. The driver of that truck lost control and swerved into the oncoming lane, striking a Chevy Silverado pickup truck head-on and pushing it into another truck. PSP said the truck driver was seriously injured. Two other people were slightly injured. Police said the tractor trailer that caused the accident was white and was traveling east.
