These are the cars that depreciate the least

A new report from iSeeCars shows which cars you should have bought new in 2018.

New cars begin to lose value when the owner drives them away from the dealership. Depreciation is real, but some makes and models hold their initial value better than others. new iSeeCars The study reveals which used cars have seen the least decline in value over the past five years.
Nothing comes close to retaining its value like the Porsche 911, which has dropped in value just 9.3 percent, or $18,094, since 2018. That number is nearly half that of the second-place Porsche 718 Cayman, which has lost 17.6 percent of its value .

You don’t have to spend Porsche money to buy a fun, low-consumption car. Other coupes to make the list include the Subaru BRZ, Chevrolet Camaro, and Ford Mustang, which ranked No. 6, 7, and 11, respectively.
Toyota also had a strong showing on the list, with the RAV4, Tacoma, Tundra, Corolla and C-HR rounding out the top 20. The first year of the current generation Jeep Wrangler JL ranks fourth behind the Tacoma, losing about 21 percent of its value.

The Honda Civic sneaks onto the list at No. 5, losing 21.5 percent, or $5,817, over the past five years. The Kia Rio, Chevrolet Spark and Honda HR-V are other affordable models that join the Civic on the list along with the Subaru Impreza and Crosstrek.
the iSeeCars The study analyzed 1.1 million 2018 model year used vehicles sold between November 2022 and October 2023. The report does not include low-volume models, and excludes heavy-duty trucks, minivans and models that were discontinued as of the 2022 model year. On average, marks lost The 25 commercial and 2018 models with the lowest five-year depreciation were 38.8 percent of their value, or $17,221.
