Custer COUNTY, Colo. – The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has identified the suspected shooter involved in the fatal shooting of three people in Custer County.

According to CCSO, the suspect is Hanmi K. Clark, 45, was last seen driving a white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup with Colorado license plate BHLK27.


Two male victims and one female victim were killed in the shooting. Another victim is in critical condition.

Three people are dead and at least one person is injured after a shooting in northern Custer County, and the shooter remains at large, according to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

CCSO held a news conference Monday evening and said the suspected shooter knew at least one of the victims. Those involved were reportedly arguing over easement lines and civil disputes when the shooting occurred.

The injured person was taken to the hospital with several gunshot wounds. While the suspect is not in custody, law enforcement knows the whereabouts of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, CCSO said.

The Custer County Sheriff issued a complete evacuation order for the Rocky Ridge Road area, which was under a shelter-in-place throughout Monday afternoon.

A shelter-in-place order remained active Monday evening for a neighborhood in Custer County after a neighbor dispute involving a shooting was reported.

According to a Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) spokesperson, law enforcement is still searching for a suspect after they believe a dispute between neighbors led to the shooting.

CCSO did not say if there were any injuries, but asked neighbors in the Rocky Ridge Road area to stay home, secure their homes and stay away from doors and windows.

A shelter-in-place order has been issued for the northern Custer County area due to a “high-risk situation,” according to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

CCSO posted on Facebook just before 2:30 p.m. on Monday, November 20, and said deputies as well as personnel from other agencies were in the area of ​​Rocky Ridge Road in northern Custer County, northeast of Westcliff.

CCSO said neighbors in the area should secure their homes, stay indoors and stay away from doors and windows. Anyone traveling should avoid the Rocky Ridge Road area, if possible.

CCSO did not provide details about the “high-risk situation” but asked neighbors to follow code enforcement recommendations until full approval is obtained.
