October 30

Collision: 5:20 p.m. (Auburn). King County firefighters and paramedics responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash in the 4500 block of North Auburn Road. Firefighters extricated multiple casualties, two of whom were transported to Harborview Medical Center, one by Airlift NW and one by Medic One via ground transportation. A private ambulance transported two others to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

October 31

Distress call: 9:49 PM (Leah Hill). Firefighters responded to a senior Auburn resident who was complaining of nosebleeds. At the scene, VRFA personnel treated the woman for a nosebleed, and a private ambulance transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

November 1

Truck vs. pedestrian: 12:16 p.m. (Algona). Firefighters who responded to a semi-truck versus a pedestrian on southbound SR 167 arrived to find a person lying in the road with multiple injuries. King County firefighters and paramedics treated the person at the scene, and Airlift Northwest transported the person to Harborview Medical Center.

November 2

House Fire: 12:14 PM (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a “room and contents” house fire. The building was already evacuated upon his arrival, and firefighters entered and quickly put out the flames. Paramedics treated the homeowner for minor smoke inhalation, and a private ambulance transported the person to MultiCare Auburn for further care.

November 3

Call for aid: No time was given (Al-Juna). Engine 338 was dispatched to assist a woman with decreased level of consciousness and found her alert but showing signs of a stroke. King County paramedics evaluated the woman, and a private ambulance transported her to Valley Medical Center.

November 4

Tree in the road: 1:16 p.m. (Leah Hill). Firefighters who responded to a reported tree on the road arrived to find a small tree over one of the driveways, so they removed it from the road so traffic could pass safely.

Overdose: 6:50 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded with what was initially called CPR. When firefighters arrived, they found a man showing signs of a fentanyl overdose. By administering multiple doses of naloxone by bystanders before his arrival, firefighters managed the man’s airway and helped him breathe until he regained consciousness. The patient was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further evaluation.

November 5

Overdose: 1:50 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a woman who had overdosed on fentanyl. Firefighters and Auburn police provided naloxone and life-saving treatment to the woman. She was resuscitated, evaluated and transported by private ambulance to a local hospital.
