Volkswagen ID. Buzz reportedly exploded and caught fire days later

It seems that very little is known about what exactly happened, but we do have some details surrounding the incident.

Volkswagen ID.Buzz LWB Mule 2

An all-electric truck exploded in a parking area in Lahti, Finland. He was reportedly charging when the explosion occurred, and some witnesses believe it was the charger that exploded. There does not appear to be damage to the electric vehicle’s battery pack.

Authorities arrived at the scene after the explosion and withdrew the Volkswagen card. An electric truck hums away. The police chief said that he did not yet have any details about the cause of the explosion. There was nothing in the car that could easily explode and the high-voltage battery did not burn out.

The interesting part here is that even though the Volkswagen electric truck exploded, it was still in good condition when leaving the explosion area, and did not catch fire, at least not right away. Onlookers reported a loud sound and heavy smoke, but there were no outward signs of a fire. However, nearby fire sprinklers were activated, possibly due to the explosion.

In order to find out exactly what happened, an investigation must be conducted. However, local news reports indicate that the ongoing investigation appears to be fading. The police began investigating the explosion. They looked for different devices or materials and tried to determine if it could be a crime. There is some surveillance video of the area, but the Volkswagen EV cannot be seen in the footage.

Unfortunately, the electric truck caught fire days after the explosion, and now there is little left of it. This may mean that a more comprehensive investigation is not possible.

People still want to know the cause of this accident, especially the importer of the car itself. However, the importer is not making public comments and only says that his company will deal with the matter.

It was a shared rental car produced by Volkswagen and rented by the city. The importer aims to obtain a Volkswagen ID. Buzz’s electric truck was checked to see what had happened.

Keep in mind that just because this is an electric car does not mean this is the cause of an explosion. At this point, there is no evidence that this fire is in any way linked to the Volkswagen ID. buzz.

This is a developing story. We are contacting Volkswagen for further details. Once we have more information, we will either update this story or produce a new one.
