As a historic brand in Grasso’s Garage, the Volvo brand provides an excellent consumer experience with all their vehicles. As someone who has reviewed hundreds of vehicles, the Volvo brand always comes out on top. This week sees the popular Volvo XC60 T8 Recharge, a luxury mid-size hybrid SUV for all consumers.
Volvo continues to use the popular and powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged direct injection engine. Producing 312 horsepower plus hybrid/electric technology that produces an additional 143 horsepower from its electric motor, the T8 Recharge delivers an impressive 455 horsepower and 523 pound-feet of torque. Do I have your attention now? The XC60 not only delivers power to consumers, but also the comfort and quietness that SUV consumers demand.
The 2023 Volvo XC60 T8 Recharge Ultimate comes with a range of packages and options for everyone to enjoy and they are not mandatory items like other manufacturers. We noted the $750 climate package, the upgraded Bowers & Wilkins sound system for $3,200, and the Air Ride suspension, a new option for 2023, for an additional $1,800. Standard features on the XC60 Ultimate were a panoramic sunroof, gloss black features, 20-inch diamond-cut wheels, and high-level interior lighting.
Warranty and maintenance are also a big hit. New owners can enjoy free factory scheduled maintenance for the first three years as well as a 48-month/50,000-mile limited warranty.
People always ask, Mark, what will you drive? What’s the best vehicle out there? That choice started and will always start with Volvo, and for good reason. Their endless focus on safety, security, comfort and design makes the decision-making process easy when focusing on brand first, then model. In my opinion, as a full frame person, comfort and attractiveness are first on the list of needs while safety and security are a close second. These attributes keep Volvo at the top of the charts and the XC60 is clearly the better choice.
